We were invited to go to a cabin (Maria's...in the middle front holding the dark haired baby) in Bear Lake with some people from the ward. It was mostly moms and kids the days we were there. Jay had just gotten back from another trip and had to catch up on work, so he wasn't able to go with us. It was so fun! Now we know that only an hour away is a great beach and a very do-able day trip. I was glad we all made it home...the kids are getting pretty brave in the water after just completing another session of swimming lessons.

Bear Lake is only an hour from you guys? We'll have to go sometime when we're in the neighborhood (one of these summers) since I've heard great things but don't think I've ever actually been there. Kate looks like a Baywatch babe in that photo! So cute...
Em, I almost teared up looking at these pictures. The day after my parents left our house they were going to spend a week in Bear Lake. It has been a tradition (ever since I have been alive) to go every August. That's awesome that you are so close. We miss you guys and wish we could have been there to play in the sand with you!
